At The Quiet Club, cashmere stands for tranquility, purity, and sophistication. Our fibers are harvested from the finest undercoat of cashmere goats living in the vast Gobi Desert. The extreme climate—scorching summers and icy winters—ensures that these goats develop an incredibly soft and dense fleece. The undercoat is collected exclusively during the natural spring shedding season, entirely by hand and without harm to the animals.

We collaborate with partners who adhere to strict standards for traceability, animal welfare, and sustainability. Our cashmere is of natural origin, biodegradable, and free from synthetic additives. It is a luxury that does not shout, but rather makes itself felt.

Softness, Lightness and Breathability

Fibers from the Gobi Desert are finer and smoother than sheep's wool, resulting in a silky texture that relaxes directly against the skin. Known for its exceptional softness, cashmere is significantly less irritating than regular wool. It breathes effortlessly, adapts to your body temperature, and provides warmth without bulky layers.

Despite its light weight, Gobi cashmere offers consistent warmth that is comforting and cozy, both in cold climates and milder seasons. It is a material you'll always want to wear close to your skin—not because you have to, but because you want to.

Where Rarity is Formed

In the remote areas of the Gobi Desert, an undercoat grows that is considered one of the most refined in the world. During the harsh months, a thin, protective fleece forms around the roots of the hair, solely intended to help the goats survive.

These fibers are exceptionally thin—often only fifteen to sixteen microns—finer than human hair. Only a small part of this fleece is usable and can be hand-combed. This makes Gobi cashmere not only rare but also exceptionally refined in texture and wearing comfort.

The Craft Behind Every Piece

The special thing about cashmere is not just in the material, but in the process. The fibres can only be collected during a short period, when the goats naturally shed their winter coats. Combing is done by hand, followed by a careful selection of the best fibres based on length, fineness, and colour.

Only then is the cashmere spun into yarn that retains its softness, lasts a long time, and barely loses its shape. Every piece from The Quiet Club bears the signature of precision, not speed. It is not made for a season, but for years of quiet presence.

Why Cashmere is worth it

Cashmere is often called “soft gold,” and that’s no exaggeration. A cashmere goat yields only a minuscule amount of usable fiber per year, in contrast to pounds of wool from a sheep. Add to that the manual collection process, the careful selection of premium fibers, the spinning into high-quality yarn, and the refined knitting—and you understand its value.
